Introduction

The number of students with disabilities attending postsecondary schools continues to

increase with each passing school year. Students with disabilities need to be well-

informed about the rights and responsibilities postsecondary schools have towards them.

These rights and responsibilities are supported by several federal laws which can assist

students with disabilities the full opportunity to enjoy the benefits of a postsecondary

educational experience.
